The key to optimising health revolves around how we EAT, MOVE, SLEEP and BREATHE. Based on the most relevant insights into these interconnected pillars. We will give you the practical guidance you need to unlock and define the most effective health lifestyle for you, in the context of a supportive community setting.
IT IS NOT a cleanse; a fat loss challenge; or a “made-for-you” prescribed diet or training. IT IS a process-focused programme combining holistic health principles and coaching elements. A simple, practical, guided journey through key aspects of nutrition, movement, sleep and optimal breathing while providing tools for your own assessment and development.
How it will Work:
You will have a weekly Sunday afternoon in-person group meeting for Introducing the Weekly Theme, Q&A time and community support. Each week will have a different focus:
Session/week 1 -Sunday 1 October 2017 : Introduction to The Fundamentals of Wellness
Session/week 2 - Sunday 8 October 2017 : Eat
Session/week 3 - Sunday 15 October 2017 : Move
Session/week 4 - Sunday 22 October 2017 : Sleep
Session/week 5 - Sunday 29 October 2017 : Breathe
Session 6 - Sunday 5 November 2017- Closing Session
You will have access to a Private Facebook group, with daily posts from your personal wellness coach Alma Jade Chanter who will guide, support and provide resources as well as an interactive, motivated community context.
If you are unable to attend one or more of the the Sunday sessions, do not worry, we will be posting a video summary of what what discussed (in addition to the pdf) so that you can stay on track.
Here are the themes of the 5-weeks in a nutshell:
Week 1: The Fundamentals. Awareness
The focus this week is awareness of your current health habits, and we invite you to track your nutrition, movement and sleep (don’t worry - we don’t ask you to track your breath!).
Week 2: Eat. Real Food
This week's focus will be around nutrition, how food is not “just calories” but information to our cells, genes, metabolism and gut microbiome;
Week 3: Move. Nutritious Movement
Movement is a form of nourishment. This week covers the importance of moving more, moving better, and how to fit more movement into our busy lives;
Week 4: Sleep. Deep Rest
Rest and recovery is the often neglected key in optimising our health and wellbeing. We calmly tackle this subject and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve sleep quality, as well as dive into the body's natural circadian rhythms and what that means for our health;
Week 5: Breathe. Quality Breath
Don’t breathe at all, and there is no life - but breathe optimally and you may be surprised at how much life and energy you can gain! It may come as a surprise that breathe is listed as a fundamental, seeing that it is an autonomic process, but this week we explore how breathing properly can maximise fat loss, reduce inflammation and even help in making healthier choices - all while relaxing and calming the nervous system
